10 Things to do if you are in Goa

Hey Fellas! My 5th blog after 2 months and yes, it’s all about GOA. Yayy!!! Have you ever been to Goa? If no then this is the right place for you as a travel guide. If yes, then don’t worry, you still can read it if you are again planning to visit Goa. The first thing which comes to our mind when we hear about Goa is beaches and trance parties. But Goa not only about this. There are lot of things to do there. So below are the 10 things to do if you are in Goa:

1. Go to the beaches:

Being in GOA and not going to the beach is like going to Agra and not seeing the Taj Mahal.

Beaches are the heart of GOA. There are around 45 beaches in GOA. So the first thing I did whenever I went in GOA was obviously going to the beach. Well, I visited the few must go beaches which included Baga Beach, Calangute Beach, Candolim Beach, Anjuna Beach. But these beaches are slightly crowded and there will be hell lot of public here. So, to escape from such crowded beaches, you can go to Agonda Beach, Palolem Beach, Morjim Beach which is less crowded comparatively. Also these beaches are very peaceful and relaxing.

2. Experience the water sports:

Where there is beach, there are water sports. Few must to do water sports activities are Jet Skiing, Banana Boat Rides, Bumpy Ride, Parasailing. These are the basic activities which you can go for but if you really have time then you can even go for Scuba-diving, Snorkeling etc. Don’t Be Scared!! Just go for it.

You can experience these water sports activities on Calangute beach, Sinquerim Beach, Baga Beach, Anjuna Beach, Dona Paula and many more.

3. Don’t forget to visit the fort:

Chapora and Aguada Fort are a must to visit forts. Aguada has a light house inside. Also, a lot of movies were shot at these forts specially the Chapora Fort. It has a scenic view of the beach by the fort. The sunset was pretty amazing to watch. “Breeze + sunset + fort + view of the beach”.. WOW!! I would rate 10 on 10 for this.

Below is a picture we clicked when we were at Chapora Fort.

4. Ride on active around the city:

Well! If you really want to roam around the city, then Activa, Bike and Bullet are the best options to drive. You can take it for rent for reasonable price or ride your own vehicle if you have any. When we ride around in our own city, we will find lot of traffic and it’s difficult to ride in such traffic but if you are goa, you’ll hardly find any traffic. Easy to ride and then seeing everybody riding on the bike gives you the feel to ride it on your own.

5. Get ready for the party:

Clubs are the heart of Goa. There are numerous clubs in Goa amongst which the popular one’s are Cabana, Love Passion Karma (LPK), Titos, Mambos and many more. This is the time when you can pick your amazing party wear outfits and get all dressed up for the party. The popular one’s which I mentioned really have good food, drinks, music and ambience. The dance floor will always be on fire because of the amazing DJ’s. Also some clubs have free entry for girl stags and couples, while some charge less amount. But for a group of single guys, I am really sorry but you might have tough time dealing with the entry fee means you’ll have to pay more comparatively 😀 Also, though the food is good, but if you are hungry and want to grab some really good food, then don’t opt for such clubs because these places are meant to be crowdiest one and you have to slog to get your order on the table.

6. Have your lunch/dinner near the shacks:

You can have your lunch or dinner with the drinks near the shacks. Trust me!! It’s really soothing and relaxing to enjoy food and drinks sitting by the beach. Specially in the evening, you can enjoy candle light dinner with music. Also, if you are planning for a date, then there you go. You cannot find a better place than this..SASTA & TIKAO :P.

7. Wear your sexiest beach and party wear:

GOA is all about fashion. So all you need to do is to get those sexiest clothes from your closet and flaunt them. Beach wear if you going to beach, party wear if you are going to party. You can also buy clothes, jewellery and many other things from different market like Arpora Saturday Night Market, Anjuna Flea Market, Tibetan Market, Baga Beach Market and many more places that too at cheaper price. So all you need to do is to get those sexiest clothes from your closet and flaunt them. You can also buy clothes, jewellery and many other things from different market like Arpora Saturday Night Market, Anjuna Flea Market, Tibetan Market, Baga Road and many more places that too at cheaper price.

8. Drink is a must:

As I said, the first thing which comes to our mind is beach when we think about GOA. But hey! Wait. What’s the second thing that comes to our mind? And yeah! It’s alcohol. Cheap priced alcohol. Boozing is something which you to go for when you are in GOA.  You’ll get all types of alcohols at cheaper rate. Also I am not promoting alcohol or provoking to drink. It’s up to you 😛

9. Play at the Floating Casino:

There are floating casinos in Goa where you play Blackjack, Big Six wheel, Table games. Enjoy with games, empty or fill your pockets and yes don’t forget the champagne.  The famous Casinos in Goa are Casino Paradise, Deltin Jaqk, Casino pride and many more. So if you have time, Casino is also a chill out option for you.

10. Visit South Goa:

If you really have time, then you can spare a day to visit South Goa. You can visit Palolem Beach, Colva Beach, Agonda Beach, Bom Jesus Basilica, take a dolphin ride at Morjim Beach. For me, South Goa was a bad decision to hang out since we really didn’t find anything interesting about the place. North Goa was far way better than North Goa. Now it’s your decision :D. But as I said, if you have ample amount of time then you can explore more.

Thanks for sparing some time for reading this blog. These top 10 things are my views on “10 things to do in GOA”. But it is not necessary that you have to do these top 10 things in Goa. Some don’t drink while some don’t play at casino, some are scared of water sports while some don’t really like to party. It’s completely on you about how you want to plan your trip.
